President/CEO

Bill Schutt is the President/CEO of Wm. Schutt & Associates Engineering and Land Surveying, a firm he co-founded in Erie County, New York in 1990. During its 18 year history, Bill has stewarded its growth. Today the firm, still headquartered in Erie County, New York, is a progressive privately-owned New York State domestic professional service corporation offering civil engineering, land surveying, land planning and construction administration services to various municipalities and private clients throughout Western New York State. Bill, who has been a member of the WNY engineering community for over 30 years, acquired his BS degree, with honors, in Civil Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo and is a registered professional engineer in New York and Florida. Bill’s well rounded professional background includes time as a municipal (public works) engineer, heavy highway/underground utility contractor, commercial and retail developer/builder and most recently consulting engineer in private practice. This wide-ranging experience allows Bill to understand the needs and goals of the different entities involved in most major projects, anticipate potential problems and recommend economical and effective solutions. Bill is well respected by his peers in the WNY engineering community and is currently serving as the President of the Erie-Niagara Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers and also an elected Executive Board Member of the Western Chapter of the New York Water Environment Association. Bill is also an active member of the local chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Public Works Association.
