Lancaster is a town located in Erie County, NY. It is a suburb of Buffalo, NY. The town was formed from the town of Clarence in 1833. Originally, the town was called “Cayuga Creek” and was later incorporated being renamed to its current name. Lancaster began to experience rapid growth in the 1990s with much of the development occurring in the southern and eastern parts of the town.

Today, the town is home to over 40,000 residents and continues to grow. Lancaster High School is Erie County’s largest school in both population and square footage. The school has been expanded twice and hosts over 2,000 students. Lancaster also holds many of the biggest events in the village of Lancaster. They include a Fourth of July Parade, Taste of Lancaster, and a charity fundraiser. All of this continues to fuel the growth of the town.
